IndustrialCPH entered into a collaboration with the architect company Bertelsen & Scheving Architects to deliver lighting designs for the new build farm-shop/café and boarding school buildings, constructed as an addition to the listed Vitskøl monastery. The new buildings follow the style of original Danish farm houses and barns having red painted wood and red tiles.
Finding the right lamps to blend seamlessly into the style of the buildings, and at the same time provided atmosphere led us to the old east-block countries, East Germany, Poland and Sovjet were lamps from old demolished industry complexes revealed a number of good candidates. To provide some edge and give it the special touch of IndustrialCPH, we also mixed in some old and rare maritime lamps from Argentina and Korea.
All lamps chosen for this project are vintage and between 40 to 70 years old.
